Agreeing or not with Catherine Deneuve's position, puting in the corner all men and their behaviour to approach and flirt women, is not the right answer against sexual harrasments, rapes etc
I am mostly frustrated with the fact that these profoundly hollywood stars and other celebrities, probably never faced the same issues of raping, childhood marriages, clideroctomy etc, as it is the case in sovinist, patriarchal and fundamental religious societies, in Africa, Asia and elsewhere, or Medieval Europe.
I am not defending rich producers, business executives, well known politicians and other men who abuse their power to seduce and sexually exploit vulnerable and ready for anything women, young girls and in general unknown people who try to be succesful and famous through reality shows, showbiz and/or the realm of Arts. These men obviously have serious low self esteem and complexity syndromes of their masculinity.
Catherine and me are not defending these bastards!
On the other hand, we can't just annihilate all male behavioral patterns and the profound differences between the two sexes.
In conclusion, I just felt the need to express my self, without being censored for my shared with Catherine position !

She was one of around 100 French female writers, performers and academics who wrote an open letter deploring the wave of 'denunciations' that followed claims Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein raped and sexually assaulted women over decades.
The women claimed that the 'witch-hunt' that has followed the accusations now threatens sexual freedom.
The letter attacked feminist social media campaigns like #MeToo and its French equivalent #Balancetonporc (Call out your pig) for unleashing this 'puritanical... wave of purification'.
"As wo(men) we do not recognise ourselves in this feminism, which beyond denouncing the abuse of power, takes on a hatred of men and of sexuality."
The signatories insisted that women were 'sufficiently aware that the sexual urge is by its nature wild and aggressive. But we are also clear-eyed enough not to confuse an awkward attempt to pick someone up with a sexual attack.'

Good morning dear All !!
Yes, we should at least agree, that in the most of the cases, this is a "Women cause". It started in a Hollywood style, ineffective in my opinion, campaign, from famous women without previous deliberation on the subject with men.
I respect your opinion and support to that cause, but as most of you said, if men haven't read or don't follow and support the cause, then something definitely is wrong.
Wouldn't be better if women could discuss first the issue with their husbands, boyfriends, other male friends in their educational, employment and societal in general circles?
Men seems they shutted up their mouth all this time, till a celebrity woman and other women from France talked in their defence.
All of you, coming from different backgrounds, Romania, Iberia, Italia, Greece and Cyprus, it seems you are connected with each other on this cause. You can still follow #metoo awareness campaign, or do something practical by your own or joint forces with your men, and fight together for you right against sexual harrasment, rape, inequalities etc, without degrading flirting to the same level with the above.

Federica Esse Pi I am happy that you always had support from your male surrounding family and social circle. Not everybody have had that. I am double happy for Tomasso's and yours expected daughter !!
Addressing also to Melina Karageorgiou and Alaitz Goñi Antuñano, because of my limited knowledge on French, my support to Catherine's position was extracted from the publicity taken mostly in English Media. Thus, I still don't understand and cannot apologise for that, what is so wrong in the content of the letter, that frustrated all of you. I can accept Alaitz's position that it's not the best thing for your cause #MeToo to direct this discussion on defending mens' flirting behaviour, since the problem indeed is too serious and mostly directed from men with authority (but not always, there are also cases of women in power who diminish the potentials of their male employees). I tried to google translate the letter from french, but you know that this is not the best solution. Still, cannot find something offensive towards women in the context of the said letter.
